I was born and raised in Fillmore. Ever since I was a little kid, I have always been a wonderful girl, with a big personality like a ball full of joy around with my family and my neighborhood. Growing up in Fillmore allowed me to grow into my true colors, such as helping a neighbor feed their bunnies when my mom was not looking. I also help my family decorate every season with family such as Easter, Halloween, Valentine’s Day, and Christmas. Decorating with family is like a bond that brings each other close, and it's a memory that I'll have forever. The years passed, and I live in the small town of Piru. Since the age of two, I have lived there all my years, enjoyed my life and created a better version of myself. Making friends and being very well known around my neighborhood. The experiences I listed helped me create the person that I am today.

My interest in Liberal studies is to develop a strong mindset for young students, such as Pre-K to 5th grade. When I was in first grade, I loved how my teacher taught me to learn with my hands and responsibility. The reason I said responsibility is because my first-grade teacher made us take turns taking care of our classmate, who was a frog! My classmates and I were able to take it home so they could take good care of it. Once we came back the next day, we shared our experiences with our classmates. This specific memory inspired me to become like those wonderful teachers.

At Fillmore High School, I have built many strong relationships with my teachers, getting involved with grading work, and learning to speak up for myself with other students. Speaking up for myself in front of students boosted my confidence level, such as presentations reading out loud. Allowing me to come to this school showed me a lot of personality and a lot of reconnecting with old friends.

I joined band in my sophomore year because I wanted to see if I still have the talent to play my instrument, which is the Clarinet. The Band and I made a lot of achievements, of getting along and more. After a while we connected with so many students that decided to bring the Band club and in use. Every year, the Band created events and memorable moments for our seniors and undergraduates. This year I am the Senior President for the band club, and I cannot wait to make memorable memories with everyone. As a band member and Senior President for class of 2026, I have learned to be responsible for upcoming events for Seniors and create memories that will last forever.

In the Band Club, we put together banquets for all musicians, such as Mariachi and Band. We start with a theme to dress up for the day of the banquet, such as “dress up in your Pjs” or “white lies.” We have and save these memories by making a video for that class to remember. Soon, we will play games and make a fest for all. In other words, we make awards for all classes that stick with these electives. The seniors achieve a high gift from the band boosters, our sponsor, that helps us with our trips and a wonderful hug from our section.

This scholarship would help me with my education and finances for my family and me. As I work leading myself to becoming an elementary teacher, my goal is to have an influence and bring back old school and show students how capable the world is of, without AI.

In ten years, I hope to become a teacher here in Fillmore or in my hometown in Piru, and in Ventura too. Now I only want to become a teacher but make connections with younger students and create dreams that come to life. My experiences have taught me creativity, supporting others, and creating strong mind growth.
